- Parents/Guardians and spectators are required to stay away from the tryout areas. Parents are not allowed to talk to any of the coaches or evaluators during the tryout process. Please direct any questions you may have to the tryout administrators in the registration tent. We firmly believe it is in your child’s best interest to be having fun, playing and showing their skills without the pressure of having parents involved in the activities.
- Please make every effort to attend all tryout dates. Once rosters have been set, you will be contacted by phone and email. If your child is offered a position, you must be prepared to accept or decline at that point. A “maybe” answer is equivalent to a “no”. Upon accepting a spot on the team within 24-48 hours you will receive an acceptance email from Blue Sombrero where you can confirm your acceptance and pay the initial team commitment payment. (This payment is non-refundable.)
- Following tryouts, you will be required to attend a team meeting and handle any miscellaneous items and get your team plan for the year. Prior to or during this meeting, a team manager must be selected. The role of the team manager is vital to the success of the team. If you are interested, please let your coach know so that we can give you the tools needed to help make your role as easy and effective as possible.
